About GreenTrans-Edu
Working jointly on research, teaching, and knowledge transfer
Relevance, duration and funding
In line with the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, global partnerships—particularly between developed and developing countries—are essential for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) play a vital role in this effort by educating future change-makers and conducting research that drives sustainability in both academia and society.
GreenTrans-Edu project brings together six HEIs from the EU and ASEAN regions in a collaborative cluster led by Technische Universität Ilmenau (TUIL). The consortium will work jointly on research, teaching, and knowledge transfer in the areas of renewable energy transition (SDG 7) and biodiversity conservation (SDG 15) as part of broader climate action efforts. It is an EU-funded project under the EU-ASEAN Sustainable Connectivity Package – Higher Education Programme (SCOPE-HE) which aims to strengthen sustainable connectivity between the EU and ASEAN, as well as within the ASEAN region. The project runs from August 2025 to December 2027, with total funding of €544,986.
